Champions of Sandwiches
I am proud to say that I am now part of a championship team from a club ultimate tournament! My team won the mixed division of the College Station Peanut Butter and Jelly Time tournament this past weekend. We went 4-0 on Saturday and won semis and finals on Sunday. I had a ton of fun with our team (the Az1an Sandwiches - because all our women were Asian and all our men were not, for the most part!), and of course, the tournament director who, aside from organizing the whole thing, let us all stay at her apartment. I am actually not as sore as I though I would be, but I attribute that to the cortisone shot I got a week and a half ago. The pain will all come rushing back once that stuff wears off…
On another note, the ACL schedule came out. While I shouldn’t be surprised because this is what happens every year, I’m once again annoyed that all the acts I want to see are playing at the same time. What I’m most irritated about is the fact that Sons of Bill and Passion Pit overlap on Sunday! WTF, probably the two most-wanted bands to see for me, who aren’t even huge names, and they’re playing at the same time. I am not happy.
