Finally, a new post! And a slight change in direction…

Posted August 11th, 2010 in ,

So it’s been awhile since I’ve written to this thing, but after glancing at the titles of the last few posts (from last year!), I think it’s safe to say that not much has changed. No, I haven’t gotten more kidney stones (thankfully), but I am still addicted to climbing and am still doing all the things that I usually do: work, music, ultimate, and sports. But I guess you can say that about my the past six years of my life…

One thing that has changed is that I’m now eating breakfast! If you know me then this is a…

NFL football and a kidney stone makes a most interesting day

Posted October 26th, 2009 in ,

Yesterday Chill and I went to Houston for the Texans-49ers game. The game itself was pretty brutal (especially for cousin quarterback Shaun Hill), but some highlights of the game:

  • Sitting 11 rows up from the field. We were so very close.
  • Alex Smith replaces Shaun in the second half, when the 49ers almost came back from a 21-0 deficit. Made for quite an exciting finish, but not sure if this is a good or bad thing?
  • Three army people parachuting into the stadium from the sky, one holding an American flag and another holding a football. This was pretty awesome.
  • The Bushes were at the game.…

Finally! I’m back (for now)…

Hey everyone. I know it’s been awhile, that it’s funny that my last “real” post was over a year ago stating that I would blog more. Well, guess I was wrong! Sorry about that… although it’s not like you missed all that much, anyway. :)

So I just finished re-doing my entire site. I didn’t do a redesign, so if you didn’t notice much of a difference, that is why. Basically, the last version was entirely XSLT-driven (and I really mean entirely), with just a main page and the gallery. It was fun to code at the time, but I was…

Mexico, Thanksgiving

Posted November 22nd, 2007 in , , , , ,

The past week or so has been pretty surreal. I sat around for a few days and did nothing, and then I went to Mexico. I get back and start a new job, but my first week is only two days long. Now it’s Thanksgiving. First of all, how in the world is it already Thanksgiving? That means December is on the horizon, which means the holidays, Christmas, yada yada. I swear, time if flying by way too fast.

The trip to Mexico was awesome. I already want to go back. I got to see ruins and pyramids, and I met…

Nothing, absolutely nothing!

Posted November 15th, 2007 in , ,

Last night I went to see Architecture in Helsinki. I got to Emo’s past 10pm, and it was there and then that I encountered another human being for the first time that entire day.

The past three days have been pretty uneventful. I’ve done nothing during the days. Literally nothing. I’d get up at 12 or 1pm, eat, do nothing for a couple of hours, watch a lot of The Office or 24, eat more, do more nothing, watch some movies, take a nap or two… OK, I went to the gym (apartment complex gym, that is) a couple of times.…

Day 1 of doing nothing

Posted November 12th, 2007 in , ,

Today is my first day of no work, and I’m taking full advantage by doing absolutely nothing! I am actually pretty exhausted - yesterday was the Celabracion ultimate hat tourney, in which I played a full day of ultimate after getting about 3 hours of sleep Saturday night (yes, I know, I’m stupid). That prompted me to go to bed at 10:30pm last night, perhaps my earliest bedtime since college, and get up at 12:30pm today. Ah, the beginnings of the compensation of 3 months of solid sleep deprivation.

Today is a rest day - I’m skipping ultimate and running and…
